Ashtead mum and teacher, Morag Thorpe, is also a puppeteer. This Christmas she has two Polly's Puppets shows at the Epsom Playhouse - Going Christmas Crackers (19 & 23 December) and Warm as Toast Winter Show (29-30 December). Both will run twice a day, giving 2-8 year olds a fun-filled hour of puppets, rhymes, stories and audience participation.

If you missed the Ashtead Players production of Terence Rattigan's The Winslow Boy at the Peace Memorial Hall in November, then don't miss them in the spring. The 52-year-old group has around 30 members and generally produces two plays a year in November and April.

One that you won't miss if you are a Wind in the Willows fan, is a John Morley version of the famous book, performed by the Woodfield Entertainers at the Peace Memorial Hall on 10-12 December. This group of around 50 members has been together for 9 years, with past successes that include Stepping Out. This latest offering should be great fun for all the family.
