After 25 years in the most exposed spot in Ashtead, St Giles' weather vane needed repairing. Although the vane itself could be repaired, the sail was so rusty that it had to be completely replaced. A team of local people carried out the work but it fell to Dennis Nunns to put the rejuvenated vane back in place.
