Enjoy a peaceful family Christmas
As Ashtead families prepare for the festive season and children dream of Santa and snow, the excitable little things are getting ready to burst!
If you have young children, you may want to consider these helpful tips:
  • Get creative - let kids release their imaginations by making beautiful cards or decorations
  • Take them for a fresh air walk to see Ashtead's Christmas lights
  • Let children have fun wrapping presents
  • Set up play dates between your children's friends… even freeing up time for last minute shopping!

Sophie Bessant, nursery nurse in Ashtead, offers the following advice: "Admit when you need help and see guests as an extra pairs of hands! And remember, trying to fit in with visitors' routines can be stressful for you and puzzling for children. If possible, keep to your usual meal and bed times."

And remember there is plenty happening on your doorstep to keep children entertained, such as the Little Torches special Christmas service for under 5's at St George's Church - from 1.45pm to 2.20pm on Friday 9 December - a delightful service where your little ones can dress up as angels, kings and shepherds as they enjoy a craft session, story and songs.
