Sizzling Saturday Mornings
For most, Saturday is not a working day, so what is it that makes Ashtead men choose to get up for an 8.00am meeting once a month? And no - it's not football or golf.
The answer is to have breakfast together. Bacon sandwiches, tea and coffee, nothing draws like the smell of cooking bacon (although there is a veggie option too, for those to whom this doesn't appeal). A speaker shares some of his or her own life experience on any subject from terrorism to AIDS, providing interest to those who attend. The meetings last about an hour and a half, so do not interfere with family life, chores or other interests.

Ashtead Churches together organise the events for anyone to attend and enjoy friendship and discussion with other likeminded men. There are also links through these meetings to help and support those who are seeking work, perhaps following redundancy. Listening to other people's experiences often makes it easier to share problems and find help and advice where needed.

Give it a try - it could change your life. Checkout www.ashtead.org/mens for the latest program of events.
