	Here's an Oasis
	This autumn saw the introduction of Oasis, a new daytime group, aimed for women in their 20s to 40s.
	Held on alternate Fridays at 9.30am at St George's Christian Centre, Oasis is an informal group that looks at life from a Christian perspective. The first series of events took the theme of 'What Women Want - God knows' with sessions on Respect, Security, Fun, Time and Affection. Each session takes the form of a short talk followed by an informal chat about the topic of the day. "Home made cakes, fresh coffee and a crèche to look after the children all go towards the 'Oasis' feel", says Karen Goodridge, one of the organisers, "Our new programme for January will continue to look at issues that are important to us." The final meeting in the current programme takes place on December 13th and is entitled Peace on Earth. If you would like some time for yourself while your children are entertained, do come along.
