	St George's open - Officially
	On 16th September John Gladwin, the Bishop of Guildford, officially opened the new St George's Christian Centre.
	During his short talk the bishop said that he was currently spending much of his time travelling around the area opening new buildings. This, he said, is the true story of the state of the church - a church that is busy and active. It is a church that is learning to be bold and finding new ways of being involved in its community. As part of the service the Bishop presented Bibles to all the people who had had key roles in the building project.	While present at one of the services on the Sunday, Bishop John baptised Joseph Carter, the youngest son of this magazine's photographer.
