The Jazz Man Cometh
A young member of St George's Church turns professional on the jazz circuit.
Tim Boniface has always been keen on music, and now plays the saxophone, clarinet, piano and trumpet. "My interest in jazz really began with a Chris Barber concert," he remembers. "I bought the tape, and found I could improvise along."

Tim's first band was the "Therfield Stompers", but he now runs five altogether, playing at a variety of private parties and public concerts A particular highlight was the release of "Innovation Live", recorded at the re-opening of St George's.

"After 'A' levels, I had planned to read music at Exeter University. Then the opportunity came up to concentrate on performing for a year." He is currently forming a professional band to take a distinctive new sound to the jazz circuits of London and Liverpool.

Good luck, Tim.
