It was an emotional moment for the Trapmores of Ashtead when son Steve stroked the GB Heavyweight Rowing Eight to a victorious Olympics Gold Medal in a very exciting final in the Sydney Games. Steve was introduced to rowing by his dad, Clive, himself a past oarsman, when he attended a residential rowing course at Eton College one summer holiday. Little did he realise that 10 years later he would achieve the ultimate goal of all athletes. Steve has many national and international successes to his credit (check out trapmore.com for details). His dad says that his one piece of career advice to Steve was "Find out what you are good at, for then you will enjoy it and become even more successful." Steve seems to have taken the advice to heart! | ||
