A transformed community for Christ
Our Mission Statement - Why we exist
Knowing Christ . . . making Him known
How life will be conducted as we move towards our vision
We believe that……
- INSPIRED WORSHIP glorifies God and builds His people up
"true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks."
John 4:23
- BIBLICAL TEACHING is foundational for a whole life faith
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
2 Timothy 3:16,17
- PASSIONATE PRAYER reaches God's heart and enlarges our own
"In everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6,7
- COMPASSIONATE MISSION fulfils God's purpose for the church in the world.
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart… Love your neighbour as yourself."
Matthew 22:37,38
"Go and make disciples of all nations"
Matthew 28:19
- MATURE DISCIPLESHIP should be the goal of every follower of Christ
"Preparing God's people for works of service, so that the Body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
Ephesians 4:12,13
- AFFIRMATION OF DIVERSITY should be celebrated as an expression of our unity in Christ
"The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though its parts are many, they form one body… there should be no division in the Body… it's parts should have equal concern for the other."
1 Corinthians 12:12,25
- LOVING RELATIONSHIPS should permeate every aspect of church life
"Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."
Ephesians 4:2,3
What does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

With the variety of styles of worship we enjoy here it's impossible to have a 'definitive' piece to music to describe ourselves.
However here is an excellent piece, written by our very own Nigel Perona-Wright, entitled I will sing to the Lord a new song.
Hear it in our Audio File Collection

The raison d'être for this site
Here in Ashtead we are privileged to enjoy 8 Sunday services at our two wonderful locations with a range of styles of worship.
But being a Church means to us more than the service(s) we attend on Sunday and we are very active in the local and wider community.
With our award winning Parish magazine, which goes to every one of the 6000+ homes in the village,
we have again shown that the church can be different, relevant, yet uncompromised in its commitment to the Lord.
The focus of this website is to extend the reach of that work.
Acting as a major resource of information for anyone living in Ashtead, or the wider community beyond.
It also aims to promote the church as the centre of village life and Jesus as central to the church.
Please note we take copyright very seriously here.
As a 'resource' site we do quote extensively, particularly in the section of the site entitled Books with an Ashtead connection & more
