South African Cycle Challenge

Q. What links Ashtead, South Africa, bicycles and lifeboats?
A. Mike Trebble!

Mike Trebble, from Ottways Avenue, has pledged to raise over £2500 for the RNLI. To achieve this he has entered a 400km staged bikeride, over 6 days, along the South African coast.

It costs the RNLI £222,000 per day to run the lifeboats and every penny has to come from voluntary donations. Mike says, "As an associate member of the RNLI I'm very aware of their needs and decided to accept the challenge. Being a voluntary organisation they need additional help and encouragement." If you can help Mike and the RNLI please drop him a note via the Parish Office. Mike's in training at present - the challenge starts on 15 October.
