In Celebration of the Millennium

Members of all the churches in Ashtead are jointly organising a diary of events to celebrate the Millennium Year.

The events will celebrate the fact that Jesus is the reason for the celebrations, that he is alive today and loves each one of us and wants to be our friend, today and always.

The theme of Jesus, friend forever will link the activities which will start from Advent this year and run throughout next year, with the highlight being an open-air act of worship in June.

Events in the pipeline include a Son-et-Lumière at St Giles', a Young People's Event in the early summer, a Pilgrimage to Canterbury, Flower Festivals and visits to all residents in Ashtead.

In order for this programme to be well planned and implemented, a lot of hard work needs to be put in, so if you are approached for help and support, please be enthusiastic and willing!
