Coping with Bullying

Difficult to recognise and often undetected, bullying at school causes untold misery to its victims.

Coping with Bullying CD-ROM
Dealing with bullying effectively has never been easy. A new resource Coping with Bullying on CD-ROM is an information resource designed to give help and advice to those involved with bullying.
There are three sections: for teachers and governors, for parents and for children. The emphasis is on prevention, but advice is given on dealing with bullying situations and the problems of both victim and bully are addressed.

Co-ordinated by a leading UK expert, Val Besag, it is the first in the Coping with Life series, developed by Rotary and partly funded by an EC grant. It is the most comprehensive resource currently available and is a compilation of video, audio, images and text. Designed for use by individuals, small and large groups, with or without a teacher, it is also a valuable resource for use in any home with children. It is available in versions for primary and secondary schools and in Windows 95 and Mac versions.

The Ashtead Rotary Club has offered a free copy to all local schools, some of whom have already taken up the offer. To buy a copy and for more information, contact Martin Goulder (813994) or any Rotarian.
