Signing at the Lanes

Every fourth Sunday of the month, Deaf people are especially welcomed at the informal Christian service held in Parsons Mead school at 10.30 am. By using signing, Roma Parrick and Shirlyn Beetham will enable Deaf people to participate fully in the service. "Our aim is to open up the church to Deaf people," says Roma. "It is the only informal church service in the area that has signing. Meeting in this school hall is ideal as the visibility is good and it is a small friendly atmosphere."
