Name a hundred famous Ashteadians
Dear Editor.
Whilst reading one of the local newspapers, I read an article on a Karate World Champion who lived in Ashtead. I was slightly shocked to discover that the village had a world beater and began to wonder how widespread this phenomenon was.
These casual thoughts of mine may be the start of a peculiar urban myth regarding the high proportion of famous people who live in Ashtead. Maybe the myth is true! Can our readers rustle up 100 famous people?
