A Coffee Shop With A Difference

Dovecote

Fiona Castle, widow of entertainer Roy Castle, opened the Dovecote Coffee Shop in South Street, Epsom, in June. The Dovecote is run by local churches and serves a selection of hot and cold snacks and drinks. "We are always willing to provide a listening ear for anyone who wants confidentially to share a worry or concern," said Manageress, Jan Haddingham, a member of our Parish.

Open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm the Dovecote has a Christian bookshop upstairs; selling cards, tapes and CDs as well as books. Says Jan, "We aim to provide our customers with a warm welcome, and the opportunity to talk if they want to. And of course, we have some delicious cakes to offer!"
