The book features 180 original photographs taken by celebrated local photographer Albert Pruden as a unique record of the year 2000. The book is divided into six chapters, each one concentrating on a different aspect of Ashtead: from serving the community to your favourite shopkeepers; from the hidden corners of the village to the diverse architecture and streets where you live; and from places of worship and study to Millennium developments.
