Snap happy in Ashtead

To commemorate the Millennium in Ashtead, Audrey Unthank and Harry Lovestone took on the immense task of producing an archive of over 2000 photographs of Ashtead.

Some of the superb collection were on show during St George's Christian Centre's opening celebrations.

The challenge is what next? To archive it in a museum would be to hide it away. There is no suitable way of keeping them in the Peace Memorial Hall. To turn it into a book would be expensive and risky.

This magnificent effort will be of interest to our grandchildren in 50 years. Just look back at the changes since 1950.

Harry would be pleased to hear (on 275848) of any practical solutions you may have.
