Over the summer a team of 150 people from all the Ashtead churches have visited every home in Ashtead.
"Of the 6,000 homes in Ashtead, we initially anticipated that about 800 people would take up the offer of a video," explains Jane Hiley, one of the organisers. "In the end, however, 1,750 free videos were accepted by the community."
The result? Having watched the video, several people have decided to find out more by going to one of the churches in Ashtead.
"The initiative also built up many good friendships between the churches involved and helped build links within the community," says Jane.
