St George's Church, Ashtead

St George's Church from Barnett Wood Lane

St George's Church has the largest capacity of the churches in the parish. It is situated in Barnett Wood Lane on the corner with Oakfield Road, Ashtead. It was built in 1906 in red brick. Between 1959 and 1964 the building was enriched and enlarged. An 18 month renovation including the demolition of the adjoining 1950s halls complex and 1970s room and Parish office resulted in greatly enlarged facilities integrated into and around the church itself. We have the following regular Sunday services with a loop for the hard of hearing

•   9.15am - Sung Eucharist Common Worship Order One
• 11.00am - Family Worship or Family Communion (4th Sunday); children's groups and crèche
•   7.00pm - Evening Praise or Evening Praise Communion (4th Sunday), 7pm from 3-June-07, initially for the summer months with a review
•   7.30pm - 'LiFE' - Youth Service (During the school term: meeting from 7pm in St George's Christian Centre, celebration starts 7.30pm)
