Hatters Friendship Fellowship Fun
In America, The Red Hat Society is a group of women over fifty who get together on a regular basis for friendship and fun. They all wear red hats and purple clothes.

This hat theme sparked off a great idea for the over-fifties in Ashtead. Although not connected in any way to the American group, an increasing number of men and women now meet once a month at Ashtead Baptist Church.

Those who attend The Hatters Group must wear a hat of any shape or colour. The group enjoys games, a singsong, puzzles, bingo etc, and always a good afternoon tea.

This Easter they are planning an Easter Hat competition. Call 271561 for details.
