The team lost to Russia in the semi-finals 7-6. However Esther and the rest of the players picked themselves up and defeated Denmark 2-1 to bring home the Bronze.
"It was fantastic all the way through," says Esther, "from opening ceremony right through to the last day of the competition when we beat Denmark to take third place and then supported the GB men's football team winning Gold by beating Iran 2-1."
Esther played in all the matches and scored against Australia. "God fulfilled my dream to play for GB after having major knee surgery in 2002. It was a wonderful experience playing for my country as well as doing my best for God."
