Ashtead Good Neighbours |

Ashtead Good Neighbours (AGN) was launched on 15 November 2004 at Parsons Mead School Hall, attended by 80 guests,
including the volunteers, local councillors and clergy, and those involved with AGN from the start.
There were also representatives from Churches Together,
ARA, Ashtead Rotary, TG, WI, and doctors and dentists. |

The scheme has been enthusiastically embraced by over 70 'clients'.
Volunteers have completed over 160 jobs, mostly local trips not suitable as journeys by taxi or Dial-a-Ride.
Judging by the response, this really does seem to be a much-needed service.
Comments such as 'this was the answer to a prayer', and 'your help was better than winning the Lottery' make it all seem most worthwhile.
More driver volunteers are always needed. Mileage will be reimbursed at set rates.
