Don and his wife Pam, formerly of Streatham Baptist church in south London, arrived in the village in January, moving into their new home in the church manse in Glebe Road.

With 250 people attending the induction service, the church was packed to capacity, requiring a video link to the adjacent lounge. The ministers from other Ashtead churches brought greetings during the service.

Don said he hopes to bring the leadership the church requires and work with the other churches in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. Both Don and Pam have already felt the warmth and friendliness of the local residents.
