St George's Christian Centre will open this Easter. Planning is well-ahead for a week of special events starting on St George's day Monday 23rd and finishing on Sunday 29th April.
Easter this year marks a new beginning for the Christian Centre at St George's. While the main church has been renovated, the rest of the building is completely new.

The first services will be on Easter Sunday. "Always special of course, but this year we have an exciting opening as well," says Rector Bob Kiteley. "Do come and look around during our week of celebrations," says Bob. "Bring along the voucher from this [paper copy] magazine towards the cost of refreshments - drop in to the new Café during the day or on your way back from work"

Events during the week will include a bouncy castle fun morning for the under fives on Wednesday 25th, a Flower Festival that starts on Thursday 26th and a concert by the Jubilee String Quartet on Saturday 28th April. Each lunchtime there will be a short pause for prayer and music.

When faced with a big building project it would be very easy to become selfish, raising money for your own work and forgetting others. Some of the money raised to build St George's Christian Centre has been given to other churches to help them see their projects rise from dreams to reality.
