Site, Construction and Plan for Whittaker's Cottages

Last autumn 30 members of Ashtead's Link Group visited the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum to see Whittaker's Cottages. This pair of Victorian railway worker's cottages were originally on the edge of Ashtead common next to the railway line. They have been re-erected so that one shows the interior construction and the other is furnished in the style of the period.

Link Group is a group of women who meet together for talks, outings and theatre trips. For more details contact Mary Macdermott (273955).
