A Fair Cuppa

On Thursday 16 March supporters of Fairtrade ran a stall at the Leatherhead branch of Tesco to raise consumer awareness of Fairtrade products.

Fairtrade
The Fairtrade label guarantees a fair deal and better wages for its third world producers and workers. Fairtrade means that a fair price is paid directly to the grower, cutting out any exploitation.

Cafedirect (coffee) and Teadirect (tea) are two well-known Fairtrade products, but the label also includes honey, chocolate, and bananas.

Those who tried out the samples available at the Tesco stand discovered that the products are delicious! Look out for the logo when you shop.
